Late morning, depart Luxembourg with Air France for San José via Paris. You will be greeted by the local guide, journey to centre and check-in at the 4-star Park Inn in San José. Dinner and free evening, overnight stay. 

Depart for the Poás Volcano National Park and discover a spectacular landscape: coffee plantations, sugar cane and strawberry fields – until reaching the summit of the Poás volcano.
This 2708-metre high composite volcano is one of four active volcanos in Costa Rica. The park, which shares the same name, is one of the country’s oldest and most popular. 
Under the summit is the main crater, with a depth of some 300 metres, full of green and toxic water resembling a witch’s cauldron. Occasionally, a sulphur cloud rises skywards. Then stop at a small picturesque town famous for its crafts. The colourful ox carts of Sarchí are practically a Costa Rican national emblem. You’ll visit a factory where the ox carts are made. Following a group lunch, return to San José. The rest of the day is free. Overnight stay.

Breakfast and depart for the Arenal volcano. On the way, take the Chocolate Tour in the marvellous Sarapiquí region. You’ll see an ancient cocoa plantation situated in the forest, crossing a suspension bridge over the Rio Sarapiquí. On this tour you’ll learn about the natural and cultural history of the cocoa tree.  On your arrival you’ll be let in on the secrets behind the transformation of the cocoa fruit into chocolate. 
Group breakfast and walk in the direction of the imposing Arenal volcano. The 1633-metre high Arenal is one of the earth’s most active volcanos. For a long time considered extinct, it erupted suddenly in 1968, and destroyed an entire village. Since 1981, the volcano has been permanently active. 
After this exciting day, arrive at the 4-star Magic Mountain at La Fortuna de San Carlos. The rest of the day is free.

After breakfast, experience new thrills with the Arenal suspension bridges, truly unmissable for nature lovers! Listen and look out! You might see a glimpse of some exotic animals. A total of 15 suspension bridges, from 5 to 100 metres in length, await you to offer spectacular views towards Arenal, tropical treetops and the lake of the Arenal dam. An unforgettable experience! Return to hotel and free evening. Overnight stay. 

Explore the Arenal Volcano National Park and the hot springs of Paradise Hot Springs Waters. Enjoy a breathtaking view over Arenal on a walk at the foot of the "fire mountain". The walk begins on the active side of the volcano and crosses cooled lava fields around only 500 metres from the hot lava flows. Then return to hotel. Afternoon departure for the Paradise Hot Springs. Over time, these naturally hot springs have formed 5 natural ponds in which the water temperature is between 37 and 41°C. There’s also a waterfall and swimming pool. Relax here and enjoy the peace. After dinner at this extraordinary place, return to hotel.

Set off from hotel to the reflection-provoking coastal town of Puntarenas. Arrival at the west coast late afternoon, at the 4-star Double Tree Puntarenas by Hilton. The rest of the day is free. Several outside swimming pools with terraces and a multitude of bars and restaurants await you. From your arrival, enjoy your full-board at the site and end the day with a fruit cocktail on the beach. 

The following three days are free for you to spend as you wish. Enjoy the hotel’s various facilities and let your inner wanderer loose on the marvellous beach of Puntarenas. Dive into the iridescent waters of the Pacific Ocean or go on a beautiful excursion of the region.
